BT mum on plans for dab.com

Slowly does it

BT is remaining politely evasive about what its plans for e-commerce outfit dabs.com.

Three weeks ago BT emerged as the new owner of the business, which flogs equipment such as computers, TVs, cameras, and other digital gear.

Since then, founder David Atherton has stepped aside and been replaced with BT man Simon Curry as the new chief exec.

The FD is also due to be replaced with BT bod Robert Carswell.

Other than that it's business as usual, a spokesman for the giant telco told us today, adding that there are "no changes planned at the moment".

He did point out that dabs.com has started to offer BT products on its website and more items are due to be made available over the next few months.

Other than that, the integration is "going on" and BT continues to evaluate the company. ®
