Brief A serious fire at Pinewood Film Studios on Sunday morning wrecked the James Bond film stage.
Eight fire engines were needed to tackle the conflagration at the Buckingham film studio, which was used to film scenes for the upcoming 007 film Casino Royale, the BBC reports.
The set, which was transformed into a recreation of Venice for the film, was completely destroyed. Fortunately, filming has already finished and the stage was being dismantled. The roof of the sound stage caved in due to the blaze, according to eyewitnesses. The cause of the blaze remains unclear. ®
