College geek web aggregator Digg has banned a satircal site that takes aim at Fox News' predilection for broadcasting salacious stories.

Foxnewsporn.com uses clips from the angry channel to suggest that its shoutily conservative stance on political issues is somewhat at odds with the number of stories it airs about such important news beats as beach volleyball and Paris Hilton (ahem).

The clip reel on the site features star Fox gobshite Bill O'Reilly (pictured) introducing one grubby report, "This is way over the top. Roll the tape". Another newsmouth meanwhile breathlessly reads the dirty bits from Anna Nicole Smith's diaries.

Apparently Digg's admins didn't see the funny side of the satire. They suspended Foxnewsporn's account and deleted the link to the site once it made their front page, saying it was too filthy, despite all the material having been broadcast on national US TV.

Digg told Foxnewsporn's creators via email: "That submission was Adult content. Yes, it was against our [terms of service], even though it was broadcast on Fox."
