Obama gives Queen iPod

'We have already got one'

Apple has received a royal warrant, sort of – thanks to US President Barack Obama’s recent gift to the Queen.

When he met with Her Majesty in London this week he presented her with one of America’s finest exports – an iPod.

The gadget was reportedly pre-loaded with pictures of the Queen’s 2007 trip to North America. Perhaps he also put together a Buckingham Palace playlist for her.

It’s unclear what iPod model Barack shelled out for and what capacity.

But the US President might be saddened to know that the Queen’s already part of the digital revolution. Because she’s said to have bought herself an iPod back in 2005 and to then have been given another one by Prince William a few years later. ®
