Vodafone Twitterer takes aim at some beaver

Tells world he needs something for the weekend

Vodafone had a burst of Friday-afternoon fever with a tweet informing the world that its weekend plans involved purely heterosexual attractions.

The tweet in question was sent just before four this afternoon, and was followed by a rush of apologies that are still swamping the VodafoneUK twitter channel. The offending tweet has been removed, but is preserved for prosperity in the following screen shot:

While it might look like a hacked account, the mobeco's fulsome apologies explain: "We weren't hacked."

"A severe breach of rules by staff in our building, dealing with that internally" continues the apology, "We're very sorry".

We can only assume that it was his last day - or at least it will be once the powers that be identify him. ®
