Tenacious Twitter tries to topple terrible trolls
Blocked twits won't be able to stalk your account
Twitter is tweeting about how much easier it'll be for tweeters to report abusive twits. Stick that in your 140 characters.
The microblogging website says it will soon simplify the process of reporting offensive tweets and accounts, and it's promised to respond to allegations of trolling much faster than before.
Crucially, people you've blocked won't be able to view your profile while they're logged in – until now, blocking just prevents morons from appearing in your tweet feed.
"We're improving the reporting process to make it much more mobile-friendly, require less initial information, and, overall, make it simpler to flag Tweets and accounts for review," Twitter said in announcing the new feature.
"These enhancements similarly improve the reporting process for those who observe abuse but aren’t receiving it directly."
Starting today we're rolling out an improved way to flag abusive Tweets. See how it works. https://t.co/Yf6cStz0z1

While Twitter did not provide any further details on what the new controls will look like, a lucky few users will test them out before they're rolled out to the rest of the world.
Corralling trolls has been an issue for Twitter. The microblogging service remains a favorite medium for those looking to annoy, harass and pester others.
The trolling has carried serious consequences, however, with some users being hit with jail time for harassing and threatening others on Twitter. ®
