Leak – UN says Assange detention 'unlawful'
Meanwhile pallid webmaster's support site wobbles
The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) has found in favour of Julian AssangeTM in a complaint alleging he is suffering "arbitrary detention", a report claimed.
The BBC has claimed that the UN panel has found in favour of the WikiLeaks founder, although the official word will not be published until Friday.
Assange and his legal team are due to give a press conference at the Frontline Club in London tomorrow regarding the verdict. WikiLeaks claimed that under the WGAD rules for hearings, State parties receive the judgement 14 days before the applicant and the public.
How the BBC received its information is unclear, but suggests a leaker in government. Questions are due regarding whether the news will come as a surprise to Assange, who yesterday stated that he would "accept arrest by British police on Friday if UN rules against me".
Note what happened today. UN+Assange press confs tomorrow. UK already has verdict but not JA, public. So UK used BBC to 'scoop' UN, JA.

Meanwhile, the Assange support site justice4assange.com seemed to wobble under the sudden interest in the report.
