Apache TinkerPop made TLP

The Apache Software Foundation has announced TinkerPop™ as its most recent Top-Level Project.

Aside from being hilariously named, TinkerPop is a graph computing framework which works with both graph databases and graph analytic systems, ostensibly providing developers with all the tools they need to build all the graph applications they wish.

TinkerPop originated in 2009 at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. After two major releases (TinkerPop1 in 2011 and TinkerPop2 in 2012), the project was submitted to the Apache Incubator in January 2015, from whence it joins the exciting world of Apache licensed free and open source software. ®
