Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) continues to be at the center of multiple acquisition talks.
A fresh round of rumors has the Hewlett Packard spin-off looking to either sell off its software business or accept an outright bid to be purchased in-full.
A Reuters report claims that buyout firms are in talks with Meg Whitman and Co for a possible sale of the HPE software business for $6-8bn.
Alternatively, the report notes that HPE has also been approached by private equity groups about a full sale of the entire company – that deal is rumored to include an offer sheet of more than $40bn. ®
