Avnet to buy division of JBA Holdings London

Avnet is to buy the JBA Computer Solutions Division of JBA International, it announced. Yesterday we reported that Avnet was on the acquisition trail.

Although financial terms for the acquisition were not given, turnover for the US division in 1998 is expected to be around the $120 million mark. But this will not be Avnet's last acquisition. Our sources tell us that is embarking on a heavy expansionist trail both in Europe and Australia. ®
