Not RIMMs, they're RIMMs with a view

A jolly little thread on The Register forum reveals just how jealous Rambus, Ink is of its intellectual property rights.

One of our readers posted a message suggesting that Ramboost, Ink might have put some money into the Rambusite but that, its webmaster is absolutely not the case.

When he started covering Rambust, Ink in the second half of the year, he was contacted by the company, he said.

"The only contact I have had with the company is through the Trademark Manager who chewed my butt out for numerous thing including referring to the company as 'Rambus, Inc.'

"There is no comma in 'Rambus Inc.' Boy, did she ever let me know! She made me change the logo and give attribution via the various TM's and Circle R's. We worked on that for about a month. They've got a PDF file that is basically a style sheet that she sent me. Don't say RIMMS. Do say RIMM modules, etc. I really haven't heard from her much since then," he said.

Well, we'd quite like a copy of that PDF if Ramboots, Ink would care to send us a copy. After all, we wouldn't like to irritate anyone in Mountain Vue, unnecessarily.
