Kids charity canned by PlusNet

Shame

It's emerged that one of the victims of PlusNet's giant cull last week which saw 1,100 users kicked off the service for alleged abuse was a children's charity.

Penny Rollo, who runs Project HappyChild, is disappointed with the way she's been treated but is more concerned that Project HappyChild remains operational.

She's still waiting to hear back from PlusNet that it will overturn its decision to boot Project HappyChild from the 24/7 unmetered service.

But she's heard nothing from customer support even though they promised to look into the charity's case.

Now she's losing hope for a settlement and is looking for another ISP to come to the charity's rescue and host the educational Web site.

Project HappyChild is run on a shoestring but still manages to supply free educational resources to kids all over the world.

Last week Sheffield-based ISP, PlusNet canned 1,100 people from its service saying they used it too much. ®
