An Oklahoma man has been arrested after child porn was found on a computer he left at a pawnbroker's.

After Anthony Ray Sackett failed to reclaim his property within the agreed 90 days, staff at the Cash America shop set about making the PC ready to be resold.

But when they started to prod around in the machine they found what they believed to be child pornography, according to Sgt Cris Cunningham of the Oklahoma City Police department, KOCO ChannelOklahoma.com reports.

The computer contained pictures from the Net of older men having sex with girls as young as eight, police reports stated.

"He didn't distribute it in any manner, but child pornography in and of itself is illegal to have, and that's what we had in this case," Cunningham said.

Sackett was freed on a $40,000 bond - he faces charges of possession of child porn and violation's of the state's computer crimes act.

In 1999 the singer Gary Glitter was jailed after child porn images were found on a notebook he sent to a PC World shop to be repaired. ®
