The Web site of a children's charity has been saved following a U-turn by Sheffield-based ISP, PlusNet.
Project HappyChild was one the 1,100 users kicked off from the service last week for alleged abuse.
But thanks to an eleventh hour reprieve, the site can continue operating.
Penny Rollo, who runs Project HappyChild on a shoestring, said: "PlusNet wrote and said that due to the 'exceptional circumstances' surrounding our case they had reactivated Surftime access for Project HappyChild and apologised that we had been 'put in this position'.
"I'm delighted that this has finally been resolved. We've always previously had a very good relationship with PlusNet. This abrupt termination of people's accounts seems entirely out of character.
"They also said that they would be willing to look at any other accounts which users felt had been unfairly terminated. I'm glad that individual requests for review are all being considered now," she said.
Project HappyChild aims to make "safe pathways" for schoolkids to link up with one another and access free educational resources. ®
