Thus Internet revenues flat

Ohÿ

The Internet division of Scottish telco Thus had a flat year, increasing revenue by only 2 per cent over the last 12 months.

Publishing it's preliminary results for the year ended 31 March, Thus revealed that full year Internet sales increased a smidgen to £76.1 million.

Traditional dial-up subscription and termination revenues for Demon - Thus' ISP - fell 16 per cent year on year to £48.5 million in line with its strategy to focus more on the corporate and SME market. The decline in revenue was countered by increased sales of 60 per cent (£27.6 million) from business oriented services.

The service provider also reported that it had 1,226 ADSL customers at the end of March. Which is odd, because in February El Reg reported that Demon had more than 1,500 broadband punters. Hmm.

Thus reported total revenue was up 8 per cent to £233.8. Losses for the year widened from £56.7 million to £65.6 million. ®
