Evesham loses Luke Ireland
Corny joke man's got a new venture
Evesham.com's operations director Luke Ireland is leaving the business to start his own venture. He'd been with the company for 10 years, and if you want to wish him well his last day is 1 June.
Luke started at the direct PC seller as a Saturday assistant while he was still at school. He joined full time straight after he'd finished his education.
Back when Luke joined in 1991 Evesham employed 180 staff. It's now got 517.
Evesham spokeswoman Carolyn Worth said everyone was sorry to see Luke leave. "We wish him all the best after all the time and energy he's put into Evesham."
"He's been wonderful, but he does tell the corniest jokes I've ever heard."
We're waiting for a call from Luke to find out exactly what he's up to next. ®
