Two more Apple stores located

Memphis and Birmingham

Apple's long list of retail sites has grown to include two more locations: one Germantown, Memphis and another in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Germantown site will be located at the Saddle Creek shopping centre, according to sources, the Memphis Business Journal reports.

The site is owned by Poag & Ewen - the company behind Aspen Grove, the Littleton, Colorado centre which will also play host to an Apple store. The Saddle Creek site is expected to be around 6,400 sq ft in size.

The sites will join New York City, Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Glendale, Palo Alto and other locations believed to have been chosen by Apple. The company has confirmed the location of only one store: at McLean, Virginia, the home of a major retail zone in the Washington, DC area. That store is due to open on Saturday 19 May following an official launch tomorrow. ®
