Dell debuts fresh Latitude
Also makes CD-RW/DVD combo drives available
Dell has added a fresh model to its line of Latitude notebooks and extra features to the existing range.
The Latitude C600 now comes with a 1GHz Pentium III chip. The wireless system, which weighs 2.43kg, also comes with 128MB SDRAM, 6GB hard drive, Windows 2000, 14.1-inch screen and CD-RW/DVD combination drive.
Prices start at £1,590 for a system with the 1GHz processor.
Dell has also introduced a Latitude C500, which is aimed at "budget-conscious mobile users". It comes with 700MHz Celeron chip, 128MB SDRAM,6G hard drive, Windows 2000, and either a 14.1-inch XGA or 12.1-inch SVGA display. Prices start at £999.
The systems add to Dell's Latitude range, which includes the Latitude 800 and L400.
Dell has also decided to make its CD-rewritable/DVD combination drives available for all Latitude notebooks currently being shipped. ®
