Fire alarm disrupts TMA 2001

No one hurt

TMA Hundreds of people poured out onto the streets of Brighton this afternoon following a fire alarm at the Metropole Hotel.

At 2.45 pm GMT delegates attending the TMA 2001 conference were forced to evacuate the building as two fire tenders parked outside the hotel to attend the alarm.

There was no panic as people left the building.

Nine minutes later fire officers gave the all-clear enabling visitors to re-enter the hotel and continue with the telecoms conference and exhibition.

No one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.

Which is a blessing. ®
