Time preloads Tiny PCs with Supanet ISP
Not exactly a surprise
Tiny PCs will come pre-loaded with Supanet ISP access, following brand owner Time Computers's decision to switch from Tiscali.
Supanet expects to gain up to 150,000 customers a year through the move. The decision is hardly a surprise - we predicted this when Time bought the assets of Tiny from the receivers in January. Supanet is effectively the house ISP of Time Group, with which it shares ownership through the Mohammed family. Supanet claims that it is the UK's sixth biggest ISP.
Tiscali bought Tiny Online, the ISP arm of Tiny Computers for £8m last year. It retains the current user base, but the air supply for new customers from this source has now been cut off. ®
