Reg Reader Research Reborn

We want you for a new recruit

Site News As 8,000 or so of you are already aware, Reg Reader Research, our adventure in online polling, has a new name - MetriNets, with its very own web site.

This is a joint venture with Metafacts and Tom's Hardware, and we want you to join the MetriNets Experts panel. Registration takes around 15 minutes - less, if you're quicker.

Last year we invited Reg readers to sign up for our market research panels, operated by Metafacts, of Berlin - which does all the hard work in the background. And 8,000 or so of you came along for the ride.

We asked you questions about the HP/Compaq merger; about data networking; about telcos; and about mobile computers. We came up with results, most of which we published (a couple I forgot to write up).

At the same time we learned more about how to run online panels, or to be more precise, how to make them work best with our readers.

In its new guise, Reg Reader Research, sorry, MetriNets, is running continuous polling on attitudes towards a welter of IT sectors. We're asking up to five per cent of our panels to participate each day. Again we will be publishing the results regularly, and again all members have access to their own data.

We're also working on a discount structure for market research reports that we may publish - but that needs the beavers in the background to work out the details.

What else? If you got this far you're probably interested. So here is the sign-up URL again. ®
