HP boosts server uptime and eases Linux set-up
ProLiant Essentials software packs
HP has introduced software packages designed to boost server uptime and simplify the remote deployment of multiple Linux servers.
The HP ProLiant Essentials Recovery Server Option (RSO) Pack maximizes server uptime and provides customers with reliable protection
against hardware and operating system failures.
Designed for non-cluster aware operating systems and applications, the new ProLiant Essentials RSO Pack creates an active-standby configuration of two servers in which a recovery server will take over when a fatal fault is detected in the primary server.
And there's more.
The ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack, an integrated HP and Altiris software tool that automates the process of deploying and provisioning server software, is now available with enhanced Linux support and closer integration with Remote Insight Lights Out products.
These enhancements enable customers to simplify the remote unattended deployment of Linux servers, according to HP.
The ProLiant Essentials Recovery Server Option is available now at prices starting from $899, with upgardes for existing Rapid Deployment Pack users users available here.
ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Packs costs from $119 per server.
