Red Hat to certify ISV software

Get stamped

Red Hat is growing up.

The Linux maker took another step toward looking like a real company this week, creating a software testing and qualification program for third-party software makers. Partners will have the honor of signing up to be "Red Hat Ready" and align themselves with Red Hat's good name.

Once they've passed the test, the ISV apps are added to Red Hat's Official Application List, tagged onto the Red Hat Web site and promoted to customers.

The excitement does not stop there.

"As an added bonus, ISVs also receive use of the Red Hat Ready logo when promoting their Red Hat Ready software application," the company said.

When you're Red Hat Ready, you can see the logo here, and decide for yourself if it's a decal worthy of pride.®
