Morpheus 3.0 out tomorrow

"Sleek"

Morpheus, the P2P file-trading network, gets a makeover tomorrow with Version 3.0. This incorporates a "sleek interface that is easy to navigate and intuitive to use". The upgrade also features an integrated media player and media library that helps users "find and manage their media without leaving the application".

Streamcast, Morpheus' owner, also boasts of better search capabilities and multi-source downloading which delivers faster and more reliable downloads. Also
its new architecture provides "faster and better connections to the Gnutella network while using less system resources on users' computers".

Can't wait? A pre-release version of Morpheus 3.0 can be found here.

This has been a good few days for Streamcast, fresh from a major US court victory which established the legality of P2P file-trading networks.

Now for a cock-a-hoop statement from Michael Weiss, Streamcast CEO.

"Now that the US Courts have reaffirmed that Morpheus is both legal and legitimate, we're poised to regain our position as the # 1 most popular software on the Internet. Morpheus 3.0 is just the beginning. We intend to provide users with the tools and technology that they want and place a top priority on making community an integral element to the entire Morpheus experience." ®
