Vote now to name BSA's antipiracy weasel
The Mother of all Mustelid polls
Poll The BSA's überplan to use innocent schoolkiddies to name its antipiracy ferret mascot met with scorn and derision from Reg readers, who demanded a poll to select a suitable moniker.
Below, then, are ten options as offered by you - our beloved readers - and lovingly hand-picked by Vulture Central science guru Lucy Sherriff.
Speaking of science, we'd like to point out that the BSA's mascot is a ferret rather than a weasel. They do, however, both belong to the same Mustelidae family which also encompasses badgers, skunks and otters, and that's close enough for us. If you're wondering what on earth we're twittering on about, then note that being aware of the family's Latin name is essential to a full understanding of how truly droll one of the options is.
As we previously promised, we will forward the result our our Mother of all Mustelid polls to the BSA and demand immediate action. If they fail to respond, we will send in a team of ambulance-chasing shopping mall lawyers to pop a writ in their piracy-busting ass. We gather that's the way things are done stateside.
But enough of this sabre-rattling. On with the poll. Enjoy.
