Manchester-based PC builder Microland Technology has gone bust. Administrator Unity Corporate Recovery has scheduled a meeting of creditors for 31 January at its Bolton offices in order to put the Internet-based retailer into liquidation.
Unity was appointed on 6 January after it became apparent that Microland was insolvent. David Edgehill, an administrator at Unity, estimates that Microland went under with approximately £350,000 in debts.
A report on Microland's financial position will be presented at the January meeting. Microland employed ten people in addition to three directors, all of whom are almost certain to lose their jobs. ®
