Hotel webcam for Charles' happy day

What does she think she's wearing

The big day is almost upon us. Come Saturday, the eyes of the land will be trained on one spot. No, not Bechers Brook, we’re talking Windsor, where Charles and Camilla will finally tie the knot.

And for those of you who’d like to get up close and personal at Chuck and Milly’s big day but don’t have the requisite number of hyphens in your name, Network Webcams has come to your rescue.

The company has slapped a Webcam on the top of the Macdonald Castle Hotel in Windsor, giving anyone with an internet link and the inclination a sniper’s eye view of the Guildhall, where the royal nuptials will be taking place.

Log on, says Network Webcam, and you can watch the royal couple and sundry other highnesses arrive and leave. Better be quick though - we don’t expect that the crowned heads of Europe are going to be shuffling around on the steps to get the requisite snap for the Royal Album while you have a good chuckle over PB’s hat or wonder how Fergie managed to lose all that weight (a clue – WeightWatchers has an ad on the webcam site).

Of course, the Queen will not be attending the ceremony herself. But who knows, says the firm, maybe she’ll watch from Windsor Castle. Or maybe she’ll just turn on the telly like anyone else who gives half a monkey’s.
