Wanadoo UK - the ISP formerly known as Freeserve and due to morph into Orange next year - is doubling the speed of its broadband service.
New punters signing up to the service can now get 2 meg broadband for £17.99.
"With this new offer we want to demonstrate our continuing commitment to giving our customers more for their money by offering our fastest speeds as standard," said Wanadoo chief exec Eric Abensur.
Wanadoo's existing broadband users (716,000 at the end of March, btw) aren't so lucky. If they want to double the speed of their service they will need to shell out £20 a time for the upgrade. ®
