Bob Geldoff may have hated Mondays, but I’m none too keen on Tuesdays. The week is well underway, but the end of it is still too far off for me to feel too joyful. So it was with some surprise to see that Sun Microsystems had found a devilish way to compound my distress.
I got an email from the company promoting a Webinar on its website promoting the glories of SOA. All I had to do was tune in and listen. I’m interested in all things SOA so it took a minute to work out why I felt so depressed about it. Then I spotted why. I quote it, the opening sentence of said blandishment, in full:
“The SOA revolution doesn't start the second Tuesday of next week.”
Damn me, those fiendish devils have managed to jam at least one more Tuesday into the week! Supposing there are more them? Suppose it goes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Tuesday, Thursday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Tuesday. Put one more between Saturday and Sunday and I doubt even Prozac would stand a chance.
If you’re interested, lend an ear to Sun Net Talk on Demand. Me? I’ll hide under the bed clutching a clove of garlic and a rolled umbrella till I’m sure at least one Tuesday has passed.®
