Maxfield brings movie player to Blighty
OLED marvel?
German media-player maker Maxfield has begun shipping its handheld video player, the Max Movie, in the UK, the company said today.
The 1GB Flash-based machine has been out in Germany for more than six months now. Over there, it's won a bevvy of awards for its 262,144-colour OLED screen and SRS WOW 3D sound system. It'll play MPEG 4, DivX and AVI videos, along with MP3, WMA, WMA DRM and Ogg music files. Got any JPEG photos you want to show? No problem, it supports them too.
There's an FM tuner on board should you tire of your music and movie collection, and there's a line-in port and a microphone for direct digitisation. If that's not enough, it operates as an alarm clock too.
