Dr Who Tardis on eBay

Now here's a replica item I could happily mortgage my granny for. It's a replica police box made by a professional carpenter (i.e. it stands up straight and doesn't have nails poking out of the sides), with glass windows on all sides, and hinged doors which open inwards. So yes, it's a pretty good Tardis substitute, although the fact that you can only fit four to five adults inside is a bit of a swizz.

I've seen the real one on TV, I know how much you can fit inside...

Anyway, the starting price is $4,500, but you'll have to pick it up from Illinois (although presumably you can then teleport back to the time and place you started from, thus not wasting any time). Billie Piper not included, sadly.

USB Hamster wheel

I've been sitting here trying to come up with something clever to say about this USB-powered Hamster in a wheel, but it's a USB-powered Hamster in a wheel; forced to run for your amusement, ever faster as you type faster. I'm not sure what more can be said - other than perhaps someone needs to call the SPCA's toy division, because surely this is cruelty to automated animals (Mac users are off the hook here - the toy is Windows 2000 and Windows XP compatible only).

Samsung's swivel music phone

Samsung has revealed its X830 music phone with a swivel design that's just a little different to the current crop of clams and sliders. It's pretty compact, measuring up at under 2cm wide by 8.4cm long, with a depth of 3cm.

Aimed at the mobile music lover, it features a 1GB flash memory and is able to play MP3, AAC and WMA files. It has click-wheel navigation and an internal music library so you can sort and play your music tracks as you wish.

There's a 1.3 megapixel camera built in - no news on whether it has any extras like optical or digital zoom. There's also Bluetooth for syncing and sharing photos. It's available in glossy black, white or...oh look, more pink.

It should be available this month and is being offered up to O2, Orange, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U on both contract and pre-pay. Price? We'll keep you posted.
