Asus specs up second-gen Lamborghini laptop

Asus announced its second-generation Lamborghini-branded laptop, the VX2, back in January. It didn't much about the spec or when the machine will ship. Today, the company spilled the beans on the notebook's internals.

So what do we have? A 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo T7400 running Windows Vista Ultimate and aided by an Nvidia GeForce Go 7700 graphics chip. The VX2 will ship with 2GB of 667MHz DDR SDRAM, and it has 512MB of dedicated graphics RAM.

The VX2 is a Centrino laptop, equipped with Intel's long-availble 945PM chipset but packing the chip giant's next-generation 802.11n Wi-Fi card, the Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN. It has Bluetooth 2.0 too. The 15.4in display has an integrated swivel-mount 1.3 megapixel webcam.

Storage comes courtesy of a 160GB SATA hard drive and a LightScribe-enabled DVD writer. The VX2 has a trio of USB ports, a Firewire connector, VGA and s-video ports, a micro-DVI link, and an eight-in-one card reader.

But there's still no word on when Asus and Lamborghini buffs will be able to get their hands on one.
