Salesforce.com takes corp-anthems into the developer ghetto

Can you handle Dylan and the Devsters?

The barrel-scraping netherworld of corporate anthems is agog at Salesforce.com's groundbreaking new hip-hop opus, "Dev Life".

The CRM firm's late entry into El Reg's worst corporate anthem in the world - ever! competition is an undeniably shocking cultural artefact.

For the weak of stomach, here's the chorus, as transcribed by a Reg work experience youth who is now undergoing intensive counselling in our "soft room":

# I've got the dev life in my bloodstream

# I'm living out the coder's daydream

# I'm in the dev life midnight matrix [WTF?]

# I'm coding Unix Windows Linux

# I've got the dev life going mama

# I'm like the coding Dalai Lama

Chilling stuff, but if you think you've the constitution to endure the audiovisual assault first hand, and agree to absolve us of all legal liability, proceed with the clip below.

We hope to Gulliver that this is an incredibly well observed satire, but fear the worst from Dylan and the Devsters.

It's probably worth noting that as well as hosting this monstrosity, YouTube's owners Google made a big fuss about their strategic partnership with Salesforce earlier this year. If Sergey and Larry want to avoid another China-style human rights PR disaster, we suggest they rip Salesforce.com from the Google teat immediately, and send CEO Marc Benioff a terse and highly insulting open letter.®
