Bletchley Park activates online donations

Flash the plastic, save our wartime codebreaking heritage

Our recent piece on some light tin-rattling by the Bletchley Park Trust aimed at raising cash for essential repairs to the home of the UK's wartime codebreakers prompted a few reader comments that the website didn't have an easy method for supporters to make donations.

Well, the trust swiftly got its act together, and you can now give generously right here.

While Bletchley Park is reportedly doing brisk business, it needs £1m to fix the Victorian mansion's roof and the trust says some of the wartime huts are in "a desperate state of decay".

Of course, you can always offer your support by actually visiting the site. Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £6 for kids between 12 and 14. Nippers under 12 get in free, and any ticket is valid for "as many visits you would like during the 12 month period from time of purchase". ®
