The open source CentOS project has released its latest RHEL clone in the wake of Red Hat's recent release of RHEL version 5.2.
CentOS 5.2 features stability improvements to the open source Xen hypervisor for virtualization, the addition of new drivers and bug fixes with updated software support for Apache, Gnome, KDE, OpenOffice, MySQL and PostgreSQL among other popular open source software projects and products
The release is designed for i386 and x86-64 architectures. Project organizers have promised PowerPC, IA64 and Sparc support "soon".
