Microsoft mouse to bend but not break
Not much use in a flood though
Microsoft has unfolded a designer mouse that’s built to be bent in half and put in your pocket.
Microsoft's Arc has a hidden feature...
The sexy Arc is half-moon shaped, but can be folded to 60 per cent of its fully expanded size by pushing the back section underneath the top half. Microsoft said the Arc’s collapsible in order to make it portable, but also admitted that making it stylish was also important.
...it folds up
Arc communicates wirelessly with a 2.4GHz micro-sized USB transceiver and has a maximum communication distance of 30ft. It’s also got four buttons and the standard scrollwheel.
Unfortunately, it’s based on laser tracking, rather than Microsoft’s swanky new BlueTrack technology. The mouse is powered by two AAA batteries and has a status indicator on top of Arc’s… er… arc.
Microsoft’s Arc mouse will be available in the UK later this month for around £50 ($100/€75).
