CES A mobile phone with integrated projector has been demonstrated by Samsung at CES this week.
Called Show, the phone is equipped with Texas Instrument’s Pico Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology. A lens is built into the candybar phone’s top end.
The DLP technology enables users to project still images and video, with accompanying audio, onto surrounding surfaces. Users can also access web-based videos with the phone and then project them onto a nearby wall or thumb through images within a folder.
A five-megapixel camera also features and users navigate their way around the device using a touch sensitive OLED display. Haptic feedback is also on-board and the phone has an integrated speaker.
Samsung’s Show will be available in Korea this month. European launch plans haven’t been unveiled. ®
