Saaspoint takes on role of Google Apps middleman

Me love you long time

Saaspoint has inked an enterprise partner programme deal with Google to use the web kingpin’s online Apps product to deliver desktop and mobile applications to corporate and SMB customers.

The company already deploys and integrates Salesforce.com, which is hardly surprising given that original founders of the EMEA wing of Marc Benioff’s cloudy kingdom established Saaspoint.

It will now also offer consulting services to Google customers using its Software-as-a-Service biz model.

“We established our new business transformation consulting practice partly in response to increased market demand for better return from IT investment,” said Saaspoint CEO Colm Mulcahy.

“In the current market all organisations need to review expenditure across the board including IT. Google Apps Premier Edition offers a broad set of powerful APIs that enable us to integrate and deliver applications to the desktop at a fraction of the cost of traditional software.”

Google also bigged up its latest love-in with the Salesforce family.

"We are delighted that Saaspoint has joined our Google Enterprise Partner programme focused on Google Apps,” said Google enterprise EMEA head of partners Peter Lorant.

"We are actively expanding our partner programme to help our customers rapidly unlock value. As Saaspoint is both a SaaS specialist and a user of Google Apps internally, we are keen for them to play a valuable role in increasing the adoption of Google Apps."

In April last year Salesforce's CRM platform was integrated with Google Apps. ®
