Expansys leaks Samsung talker trio

Thanks, guys!

Online phone retailer Expansys has leaked details of three Samsung phones set to launch early this year, including one running Windows Mobile 6.5.

Airax Sarkari, from Expansys’ purchasing division, said on the firm’s official blog that the company had been lucky enough to be shown the upcoming phones by Samsung itself.

Of main interest is a device codenamed 'Pivot' and described as a follow-up to the i780. Pivot will run Windows Mobile 6.5 and have a 5Mp camera.

Users will get a physical Qwerty keypad and be treated to Assisted GPS, Bluetooth and the increasingly obligatory 802.11b/g Wi-Fi support.

Also on the cards is the Samsung Louve, which Expansys said looks “very much like” HTC's TyTN II - reviewed here. The new device will only be loaded with Windows Mobile 6.1, but will have a customisable widget-enabled interface.

A 3.2Mp camera and “tilting screen” will also feature on Louve.

Last, but not least, were details of the ruggedised Samsung B2100. It’s a successor to the M110.

Exact launch dates or prices haven’t been provided yet. ®
