Nikon jazzes up Coolpix range

Refined ergonimic shooting

Nikon has broadened its Coolpix range with an "ergonomically designed" bridge camera.

Nikon's Coolpix P90:

The 12.1Mp P90 boasts “refined ergonomics” that ensure its controls are always right at your fingertips.

But if you care more about features than form, then you’ll be well cared for by the P90 because it sports an anti-reflective 3in adjustable display, a maximum ISO sensitivity setting of 6400 and a 24x optical zoom.

The P90 can simultaneously recognise up to 12 people. And it’ll be easy to cram all those people into a picture, thanks to the 26mm wide-angle lens.

A “Sport Conscious” mode lets you snap up to 45 consecutive images at up to 15f/s, while a pre-shooting cache snaps up to ten frames before you’ve even fully pressed the shutter button.

All the usual extras are included, ranging from red-eye fix and blink eradication, to image stabilisation and the ever-present smile detection.

Images are stored onto SD/SDHC memory cards.

You’ll be able to snap-up Nikon’s Coolpix P90 next month for £380 ($538/€419). ®
