Xbox 360 NXE audio patch posted
Gamers given hearing back
A fix for the HDMI audio issue experienced by downloaders of the New Xbox Experience (NXE) has been released ahead of the predicted launch date.
The Dashboard update’s a mandatory patch, according to Microsoft, and is designed to fix the loss of audio that some gamers have complained about since installing the NXE interface.
It was reported yesterday that Microsoft was working on a patch, but rumoured that the firm wouldn’t release it until next month. So today’s announcement, on Microsoft’s Major Nelson blog, is welcome news for audio deprived gamers.
Microsoft added that the update’s now being rolled out to all Xbox Live members and that you should be prompted to install it when you sign in. ®
