Michigan man jailed for humping car wash vacuum
90 days on indecent exposure rap
A Michigan man who was caught red-handed having sex with a car wash vacuum hose has been jailed for 90 days, the Saginaw News reports.
Jason L Savage, 29, was spotted on 16 October last year at 6.45 am having it away in Thomas Township, Saginaw. A resident saw "someone acting suspicious", and alerted the cops. An officer "caught Savage in the act", police sources said.
On Wednesday, he pleaded no contest to an indecent exposure rap when brought before Saginaw County Circuit Judge Fred L Borchard.
Savage's attorney Philip A Sturtz had asked for a light sentence, describing the humilation as sufficient punishment. However, leniency was never really on the cards, since the incident converted Saginaw into a national laughing stock, with both Jay Leno and David Letterman using their shows to poke fun at the town.
Indeed, Judge Borchard told the defendant: "I believe you owe the community an apology for what you've done."
Furthermore, Savage was on parole at the time of his vacuum copulation, and had previous form for home invasion in 1996, and possessing marijuana in a prison in 1998.
The perp described the whole sorry affair as "overwhelming", and claimed he was on the receiving end of locals' scornful stares, too afraid to venture outside his house and unable to find a job.
Savage, who has apparently agreed to undergo drug counselling, rather brilliantly concluded: "It's been horrible. I've been keeping my nose clean and staying out of trouble." ®
