Arnie pops up in Terminator Salvation
'Brought a smile to my face', says early reviewer
Fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator will be pleased to learn the Governator puts in a brief appearance in Terminator Salvation - albeit electronically, since the 61-year-old thesp was too busy running California to shoot new footage.
According to the BBC, a press screening in LA prior to the McG-helmed film's 21 May US premiere (3 June in UK) revealed the virtual cameo, described by a reviewer down at Ain't It Cool News as "really well done, and brought a smile to my face".
Schwarzenegger has apparently met McG and will be at the Terminator Salvation premiere.
Regarding the film itself, said review (spoiler alert, natch) rates it a 6.5 out of 10 “just good enough sequel” to merit coughing for a ticket.
Christian Bale (as John Connor) "missed the mark here", the reviewer reckons, but Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright) is "really cool" while Bryce Dallas Howard (Kate Connor) displays a "very pleasant demeanor".
Oh yes, and as for the Terminators, they're described as: "Badass. Especially the big T-600 models."
Ain't It Cool News has another review of the film, with extensive plot spoilers, right here. ®
