Many exact technical specifications about the firm’s "zero emissions" e-jet ski are still thin on the water ground, but EcoWatercraft’s promised that it’ll hit 50mph on a calm surface and run for around three hours on a full charge.

The craft doesn’t pump out exhaust fumes - like traditional jet skis do - and requires less maintenance. It also does away with the need to fill a jerry can with petrol before you set sail.

Another crucial benefit, which anyone who lives on the banks of a large lake will appreciate, is that the e-jet ski offers "100 per cent silent" operation.

EcoWatercraft's electric jet ski's a world's first, apparently

In the USA, for example, the firm’s e-jet ski would probably also get around the noise related legal prohibition of using such craft on many of the country's lakes.

EcoWatercraft’s yet to announce how much the craft will cost and when it’ll be released in the UK. ®
