Nokia's N97 flagship to sail in this month
Retailers taking orders
Nokia’s flagship handset, the N97, will finally be available to buy in Blighty later this month.
Nokia's N97: will it live up to the hype?
The phone, which features a 3.5in display, 5Mp camera and 3.6Mb/s HSDPA 3G, cropped up for pre-order on the websites of various online retailers following Nokia’s recent announcement that it would be available here in June.
Retailer Expansys, for example, expects to ship the device out from 26 June. But buying it contract free will set you back more than a pretty penny - £530 ($878/€617), to be exact.
Phones 4 U is also accepting tariff-attached pre-orders for the phone. For example, it’ll sell you the N97 for a smidge under £100 ($165/€116), provided you sign onto a £35 per month Orange contract for 18 months.
Up your monthly commitment to Orange by £5 and you’ll get the phone for free.
Nokia’s N97 is available in black and silver body colours. Its other notable features include 30f/s video capture, 32GB of on-board storage and Wi-Fi connectivity. ®
