AgfaPhoto's DC-600uw: waterproof to 10m

The 6Mp DC-600uw would be ideal for upcoming summer holidays because it’ll happily snap still images and video at depths of up to 10m. The camera will also capture sound while recording videos underwater, the company added.

While the DC-600uw's technical specifications aren’t as impressive as those of AgfaPhoto’s existing Optima 830UW – an 8Mp waterproof camera for adventure-sports types – the camera still manages to pack a healthy range of features into its 87 x 161 x 225mm body.

For example, the camera has a 2.4in LCD display, a top ISO sensitivity of 1600 and a 5x digital zoom. The DC-600uw doesn’t feature an optical zoom.

It's dustproof too

Films and photos are stored on SD cards of up to 8GB capacity, and various pre-set shooting modes are on offer, including portrait, sunset and – of course – underwater.

AgfaPhoto’s DC-600uw is available now online for $200 (£120/€141). A UK price hasn’t washed up yet. ®
