Wireless gaming wings way onto BlackBerry
Nunchunck-esque controller for RIM smartphones launched
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, apparently. So BlackBerry owners will be pleased to hear that their smartphones are now compatible with the Zeemote JS1 wireless gaming controller.

Zeemote's JS1 controller: now available for BlackBerry owners
The miniature joystick – first seen back in February last year - looks a lot like the Wii’s Nunchuck, but enables users to control games on the screens of all BlackBerry devices fitted with a trackball, such as the Curve 8900 – reviewed here.
Equipped with four action buttons, the mobile gaming controller communicates with your BlackBerry over Bluetooth. Powered by two AAA batteries, the joystick will hold out for over 50 hours of continuous gameplay, manufacturer Zeemote promised.
But you won’t be forced to put the JS1 down once your lunch break’s over, because the gadget can also be used to navigate the BlackBerry phone menu and offers compatibility with nearly every available application for the smartphone range, Zeemote added.
For example, the JS1 can be used as a remote control for the BlackBerry media player.
Zeemote’s JS1 wireless controller will be available later this summer, but a price hasn’t been released yet. It will also come with one free user-chosen game, including Terminator Salvation, H.A.W.X and Wimbledon 2009. ®
