Vote now to name El Reg space plane

The final say is yours

Reader poll Our announcement yesterday, that El Reg would be giving the UK's moribund space programme a touch of the defibrillator with its audacious space paper plane project, certainly seems to have caught readers' imagination.

We're obliged to all those who submitted initial technical comments/suggestions. We'll look at those over the next couple of weeks and get back to you with a firmer plan of how this is going to work.

Thanks too, to all of you who suggested names for the aircraft, and there's a poll below so you lot can make the final decision.

But before we get to that, we're delighted to announce that the umbrella title for the Vulture Central space plane programme is now officially Paper Aircraft Released Into Space*.

So, the PARIS vehicle will be christened:

Aegypius

Ballistic Vulture From Hell (BVFH)

Black Vulture

El Buitre

El Shag (Experimental Lightweight Scale High Altitude Glider)

Queen Bee

Sarcogyps

Vulture

Vulture 1

Vulture Venturer

*Good work there, beloved commentards.
