Samsung lasers to print out web pages
Range gains 'Print website' feature
IFA Web pages are one of the most frequently printed documents, at least according to Samsung. So the firm’s launched printer range that's specifically intended to be web friendly.
The seven monochrome laser printers were designed to make printing web pages extremely easy, mainly by incorporating a “unique” one-touch ‘Print Screen’ button.
Push the button and what you see on your PC screen – including multiple web pages and application windows - gets copied out on the printer.
The ‘Print Screen’ button’s built into each printer’s control panel, meaning you no longer need to be at your PC to print out a page.
Supplied AnyWeb Print software also allows users to select, drag and drop specific content from web pages into a new, blank page on their PC screen. This can then be printed with ease, the firm claimed.
Samsung’s seven new models, each incorporating the Print Screen button, are the SCX-4600, SCX-4623F, SCX-4623FN, ML-2525, ML-2580N, ML-1910 and ML-1915. UK launch dates or prices haven’t been announced. ®
