Has your iPhone been involved in an accident?
Ambulance chasing? There's an app for that
Solicitors Bott & Co have launched an iPhone application for recording accident details, along with a link to their dedicated hotline for those seeking injury compensation.
The "Car Incident Assessment" application, which is free from iTunes, runs the user through the important things to note following an accident; including taking photographs of the scene and any damage, but then offers a single click to pass those details on to the Solicitors for assessment:
"Finally, once you have completed the necessary information you can submit your details via email... If the accident was not your fault your dedicated personal injury solicitor will assist in the formulation of a claim for personal injury."
Note that "being injured" doesn't seem to be a requirement, at least according to the iTunes description, but all the reviewers have awarded five stars so it must be a top app.
We're reminded of the recording which one would hear when sneaking out for a fag at Los Angeles airport: "Patrons are asked not to give money to solicitors*. This airport does not condone their activities." We couldn't agree more. ®
* Apparently they're referring to beggars, but we prefer the British interpretation.
